All spacious rooms include a stone fireplace, sofa, French doors, deck or patio, double bathtub, feather bed, and wine pantry. Rooms are set with 1 king or 2 double beds, garden, lawn or mountain views. Some luxury rooms feature private outdoor hottub. The full-service spa and salon offer traditional and unique therapies in a tranquil environment. Nightly turndowns include tastes of choice wines and cheeses. One night's deposit is required to confirm reservations, and will be applied to the last night's stay. There is an $20 per night resort fee in lieu of cash gratuities to the staff. Cancellations are accepted with a full refund up to 7 days prior to the reserved arrival date.
Bernardus Lodge is located 8 miles from Carmel-by-the-Sea. It is a short drive to charming Carmel Valley Village, where there are multiple wine tasting rooms, several great restaurants and antique shops, all along a unique walking path. The weather in Carmel Valley can be 10 to 15 degrees warmer, and provides a sunny enviornment, when it is foggy along the coast. Soothe yourself in the sunshine among the valley 's oak studded hills.
