GROUP BEACH RIDE

Explore the beauty of the Monterey Peninsula with the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center. Rider to some of the most breathtaking spots on earth. See the rugged Pacific Coastline and unparalleled views of world-famous fairways of Cypress Point Golf Club and Spyglass Hill Golf Course. Climb natural dunes and encounter deer, see whales, sea lions and sea otters down by the beach along famous 17 Mile Drive. This is a great ride for everyone over the age of twelve.
Duration: Approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes

Ride through the Del Monte forest and up sand dunes overlooking the Cypress Point golf Club and the Pacific Ocean. This wonderful trail will show you a special dune environment where you and your children may see a variety of wildflowers, hidden fox dens, soaring red tail hawks and deer among the shadows in the trees. Suitable for everyone over the age of seven.
Duration: Approximately 50 minutes

PRIVATE BEACH RIDE

This private ride follows the same route as the group beach ride, however the group is limited to your party and one of our trail guides. Suitable for anyone age 12 and older. Departure times are flexible and the ride lasts aprroximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Extended rides up to 1 hour and 50 minutes are available by reservation.

PONY RIDES

Ride a pony through the beautiful Equestrian Center grounds. Watch horses jumping in a lesson, see the big hay barn and explore the stables where all of the horses live. Pony rides available by reservation.

Great for children 3 to 6 years of age. A parent or guardian must be present, please.

THE LIL' BUCKAROO

A half-hour gentle , guided pony ride for children inside the Holman Ranch's lakeside area. Ages 6 to 8 years old.

THE HOPALONG CASSIDY

Approximately one-hour ride through beautiful canyons, oak studded hills and around vineyards with panoramic views of the Carmel Valley countryside. All riding levels welcome! Ages 8 years old and up.

THE GENE AUTRY

Approximately a two-hour ride along secluded trails overlooking Holman Ranch vineyards with spectacular views of the Carmel Valley. Suitable for all riding levels at ages 10 years old and up

PASTURES OF HEAVEN PICNIC RIDE

On weekends and departing at 11 am for approximately 3 hours. Ride through historic Holman Ranch to breathtaking views overlooking both the Carmel Valley and the Salinas Valley. Picnic lunch provided. Ages 10 years old and up.

RIDING LESSONS

Individual lessons are taught Western or English style. All lessons begin with grooming the horse so the student can bond with his mount. You will learn how to saddle and "tack up" the horse. Once on board the lessons progress to working in the round pen or ring.

English riders learn to walk, trot and canter. English lessons tend to progress to low level dressage, demonstrating bending, figures, transitions, extensions, preparation for jumping and cavaletti work.

Western riders will have lessons in the ring or on the trail. Beginner rider progress through walk, trot, lope, halt, go and turns. Advanced riders can be trained in Western pleasure, equitation, trail, showmanship and timed events.
